For our client, a leader in the Real Estate & Construction space, we are seeking a Director of Capital Planning to strengthen forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning processes that guide business decisions.
About the role
You will partner with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to improve planning processes, financial discipline, controls, and resource allocation. The position offers the opportunity to influence enterprise performance and scalable financial operations within a Real Estate & Construction environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the enterprise capital planning process by consolidating inputs from various teams into a strategic capital outlook
- Drive analysis of capital timing, prioritization, and trade-offs to aid in disciplined investment decisions
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to validate assumptions and enhance visibility into capital drivers and constraints
- Prepare capital planning materials for executives, clearly presenting changes and implications for decision-making
- Enhance governance by ensuring data integrity and alignment between project requests and enterprise plans
- Conduct scenario-based analysis for executives to assess capital deployment under varying business conditions
- Mentor team members and establish scalable standards and governance for the Capital Planning function
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Real Estate, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in capital planning, development finance, strategic planning, or related areas
- Experience in supporting executive decision-making and governance in capital-intensive environments
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling to derive actionable insights
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including team management and influence across matrixed organizations

Pay
$150,000 – $180,000 annually
