About the role

The Director of Cage Operations will provide a smooth and efficient operation and direction for the Main Bank, Marker Bank and Chip Bank through the Casino Cage. They will also develop innovative and cost-effective solutions focusing on driving efficiencies, improving guest experience, increasing employee productivity, and growing revenues.

Responsibilities

  • DIRECTLY SUPERVISES: Casino Cashier Shift Manager(s)
  • KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:
    • Functions as the Cage Manager in accordance with N.J.A.C. 13.69D-1.11(b)6.
    • Overall accountability of currency and cash equivalents in all Cage areas.
    • Conducts transactions for Caesars Rewards and Sportsbook when outlets are closed.
    • Oversees Pit Clerk operations, and Mymarker.
    • Department may perform rating adjustments for Table Games.
    • Coordinates cash needs with non-gaming outlets and facilitates the preparation and record keeping of casino credit related documents.
    • Ensures accurate reconciliation of all banks, ticketing machines and cash comp machines.
    • Maintains policies for the safeguarding of funds for the property; enforces physical safeguards over all moneys, forms and records relating to Casino Cashiering; ensuring asset security.
    • Maintains thorough knowledge of and ensures compliance with all Gaming regulations and Title 31 regulations; ensures financial transactions are recorded within regulatory, state and federal guidelines while adhering to company policy.
    • All duties are to be performed in accordance with department and property policies, practices, and procedures.
    • Controls labor costs and ensure budgeting guidelines are followed; monitors compliance of full-time equivalents (FTE’s) per department policy.
    • Develops and oversees the execution of company and property objectives and goals as they relate to the Cage operation.
    • Hires, trains, coaches and monitors the performance of direct reports.
    • Delivers and measures guest services consistent with the company’s core service standards and brand attributes.
    • Provides input into the research, development, evaluation and implementation of new products, services, technology, and processes to ensure the company’s competitive position.
    • Creates a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction.
    • Oversees guest service standards that are consistent with the property's standards and brand attributes; responds to and resolves guest and/or employee complaints in a timely manner and creatively solves problems with the ability to anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and resolve potential difficulties.
    • Develops employee-training procedures for each operational area ensuring internal controls are updated and maintained.
    • Enforces company policies, establishes performance standards and evaluates employee status.
    • Supports special events with all event related needs (i.e., prize distribution, etc.).
    • Builds positive culture in casino cage operations and related areas to meet the company standards.
    • Leads an organization with methods and actions that are ethical and in full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies.
    • Identifies compliance risks and takes actions necessary to eliminate or minimize risks.
    • Champions, within the organization, a commitment to honesty, integrity, and responsible corporate behavior.
    • Creates a compliance culture within the organization and fosters an environment where employees feel comfortable reporting potential violations or misconduct.

Qualifications

  • Education and/or Experience: College degree in Finance, Business or related experience required. Minimum of five years progressive experience in supervising Casino Cage operations. Proven leadership experience in directing a large work unit. Strong knowledge on Casino Control Commission regulations.
  • Qualifications: Strong organizational, managerial and communication skills. Detail oriented. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects, people and processes in fast paced environment. Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business.

Work Environment

Diverse, fast-paced, deadline driven, multi-project coordination, prioritizing and flexing to accommodate last minute requests and changes.
