Director Business Process Analysis 1
About the role
The Director Information Technology 1 will lead the Manufacturing Digital Transformation Organization within Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS). The role involves coordinating and creating a roadmap for manufacturing requirements, priorities, integration, and standardization across various systems and DT Solutions. Key responsibilities include managing Manufacturing points-of-contact into specific Sector teams, establishing digital capability measures, and driving the prioritization, integration, budgeting, and governance of IT/OT work to support manufacturing objectives.
Responsibilities
- Drive strategy and execution toward a digital ecosystem that enables the digital thread across sector manufacturing sites from end-to-end.
- Establish digital capability measures tied to real-world implementation and adoption.
- Develop a process to validate financial and success benefit (ROI) and coordinate investments across sites.
- Identify, standardize, and deploy data analytics that continuously improve the Manufacturing organization’s ability to quickly resolve issues and drive business performance.
- Standardize visibility and tools across the sector and coordinate best practices.
- Drive deployment and adoption of manufacturing digital fabric, factory connectivity, and data analytics solutions across the sector.
- Effectively communicate DT manufacturing ecosystem status and needs to executive management.
- Manage material management accounting system compliance and audit activities.
- Develop and coordinate strategies related to the deployment of critical AI/ML tools and capabilities that impact manufacturing capabilities.
- Work with IT to develop and deploy strategies for exposing and utilizing system data enabling improved business processes and decisions.
Requirements
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of relevant professional experience or a Master's degree with 8 years of relevant experience. Experience in project and/or program management leading cross-functional teams across diverse technical and non-technical teams is essential. The candidate must have excellent technical depth and breadth, a well-defined vision for the future, and the drive to lead the Manufacturing organization through this transformation. Must be flexible and demonstrate strong judgment/complex critical decisions, and business acumen. Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communications skills, as well as program management, strategy, analytical, planning, and executive presentation skills are required. Demonstrated experience to lead a high-performing team with specific history of being able to create trusted relationships and an inclusive work environment. 25% travel is required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of relevant professional experience or a Master's degree with 8 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in project and/or program management leading cross-functional teams across diverse technical and non-technical teams.
- Drive and execute strategy across large organizations.
- Experience driving ERP, MES, factory solutions integration strategies.
- Understanding of manufacturing operations and lifecycle.
- Results-oriented team player, with the ability to handle a rapidly changing set of projects and priorities while maintaining a strong professional presence.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communications skills, as well as program management, strategy, analytical, planning, and executive presentation skills are required.
- Demonstrated experience to lead a high performing team with specific history of being able to create trusted relationships and an inclusive work environment.
- Active Secret clearance.
- Prior experience managing a portfolio of diverse and complex IT projects for Manufacturing and Operations.
- Prior SAP user experience.
- ERP migration experience.
- Prior experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
- Experience with and understanding of information, data and analytics commonly used in manufacturing environments.
- CAM, Earned Value, cost estimation and analysis experience.

Pay
The annual salary range for this position is $177,000.00 - $265,400.00, depending on the position and qualifications of the candidate. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
Schedule
The position is located in Linthicum, MD and requires 25% travel.
