About the Role
Join the dynamic team at The Goddard School® of Cumming as a Director. This position focuses on education, quality assurance, and spending most of your time in classrooms training and mentoring lead & assistant teachers, as well as handling closing procedures for the school. You will assist in overseeing daily operations, support a team of dedicated educators, and ensure a high-quality learning environment for children and families.
This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM, alongside a Director of Operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing daily operations of the school.
- Support and mentor a team of dedicated educators.
- Ensure a high-quality learning environment for children and families.
- Spend significant time in classrooms training and mentoring lead and assistant teachers.
- Handle closing procedures for the school.
- Coach, mentor, and train staff in best practices, curriculum, Georgia state rules and regulations, and the Goddard School's teaching methods.
Requirements
- Must meet Bright from the Start Director Qualifications.
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or a related field (preferred).
- At least 2 years of experience teaching in early childhood education and 1+ year in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of child development and early learning best practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- A genuine love for children and commitment to high-quality education.
- Must pass required state background checks and meet state minimum education, experience, and credential requirements.
