Duties And Responsibilities
- Negotiate and advise business partners on complex commercial agreements and transactions, including customer agreements, vendor agreements, and technology-related agreements
- Advises and counsels business partners on a variety of issues, including business disputes, regulatory compliance, and contract compliance
- Protects intellectual property assets, including trademarks and patents
- Maintains awareness of legal developments and advises on regulatory impacts
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams including Sales, Category Management, Operations, Finance, and Tax to develop risk-balanced solutions to legal issues
- Coordinates with external counsel on specialized legal matters
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in any jurisdiction
- Minimum 10 years of combined experience in a law firm and corporate legal department (preferably in a publicly traded company)
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Highest level of attention to detail and excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat
- Ability to interpret complex documents and optimize processes
- Strong time management and follow-up skills
What Would Be Preferred
- Experience in securities law and in the distribution, industrial, or manufacturing sectors
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Experience with Salesforce, DocuSign, and Smartsheet or similar platforms
Other Requirements
- A valid driver's license is required
- This position may require access to International Traffic in Arms Regulations Information (“ITAR”) and/or Controlled Unclassified Information (“CUI”)
Compensation
Starting at $132,200 - $207,680 depending on candidate location and experience.
