Director, Animal Safety Operations

For our client, we are seeking a Director, Animal Safety Operations to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will oversee manufacturing operations with a focus on safety, quality, service, and productivity across a growing network. The position will shape operating plans, strengthen leadership capability, and drive disciplined execution in support of business growth. It also will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to improve performance, expand capacity, and maintain a strong culture of continuous improvement. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $125,000 – $150,000 annually Responsibilities Develop and execute the manufacturing strategy with clear operating plans. Lead operational performance across safety, quality, service, and productivity metrics. Drive continuous improvement using Lean manufacturing principles and disciplined performance management. Plan for long-term capacity, manufacturing footprint, and operational readiness for growth. Coach site and functional leaders to build leadership capability and foster a culture of safety. Collaborate with various departments to resolve constraints and advance strategic priorities. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Natural Science, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field. At least eight years of progressive manufacturing or operations leadership experience. Experience leading across multiple functions and aligning diverse stakeholders. Proven success in operational change initiatives and improvement systems implementation. Strong financial acumen with experience in budgets, productivity, and resource allocation.
