About the role

Director, Analytics & Insights (Clinical RWD/RWE Solutions) – a leadership position focused on delivering real-world data (RWD) and real-world evidence (RWE) solutions to drive clinical and commercial decision-making in the life sciences industry.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of data scientists, analysts, and researchers to design, execute, and deliver high-impact RWD/RWE analytics projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., clinical, commercial, HEOR, medical affairs) to identify business needs and translate them into actionable analytical solutions.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of advanced analytical methodologies, including statistical modeling, machine learning, and AI-driven approaches, to generate insights from real-world data sources (e.g., EHRs, claims, registries, wearables).
  • Drive innovation in RWD/RWE solutions, ensuring alignment with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and evolving scientific standards.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership, clients, and external partners in clear, compelling ways to inform strategic decisions.
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Partner with product and technology teams to enhance Norstella’s data and analytics platforms, ensuring scalability and usability.

Requirements

  • Master’s or PhD in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Data Science, Health Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 8+ years of experience in RWD/RWE analytics within the life sciences industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Proven expertise in statistical programming languages (e.g., R, Python, SAS) and tools for large-scale data analysis (e.g., SQL, Spark).
  • Deep understanding of real-world data sources (e.g., EHRs, claims, registries) and their applications in drug development, HEOR, and commercial strategy.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory guidelines (e.g., FDA, EMA) and industry frameworks (e.g., ISPOR, ICPE) related to RWE.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex analytical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with a focus on delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines.
