About the Role

Partner with leadership to identify and develop strategic opportunities for innovation and growth within BlackRock’s Private Markets business. Drive cross-functional collaboration across product, investment, and client teams to create and execute product strategy, development priorities, and launch new products and offerings. Champion strategic initiatives that enhance BlackRock’s commercial positioning and brand.

Responsibilities

  • Develop solutions from start to finish through project planning, team collaboration, and execution of final deliverables, including product launches.
  • Conduct industry research and assess competitor and client activity to evaluate, prioritize, and develop new products and solutions.
  • Engage with internal and external partners to identify future areas of innovation and disruption.
  • Develop executive presentations, memos, and strategic communications to articulate plans, track progress, and deliver recommendations to key stakeholders.
  • Mobilize resources toward creating product strategy and execution priorities through cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field and six (6) years of experience as a Director, Associate, or related role; or a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field and eight (8) years of relevant experience.
  • Four (4) years of experience with:
    • Cross-functional coordination, timeline, and resource planning.
    • Proficiency in creating Excel-based Gantt charts and using tools such as SharePoint and Microsoft Planner.
    • Knowledge of investment strategies (active, passive), asset classes (equities, credit, real estate, infrastructure), and portfolio construction principles (risk and return optimization, diversification, liquidity management).
  • Three (3) years of experience with business case development and prioritization frameworks, including prioritization matrices based on commercial viability and cost scenario analysis.
  • One (1) year of experience with:
    • Private credit, private equity, infrastructure, and real estate, including knowledge of fund structures (closed-end funds, SMAs, evergreen vehicles).
    • Navigating regulatory considerations (’40 Act, exemptive relief) and designing structuring solutions for institutional and retail channels.
    • Financial modeling, including DCF modeling and due diligence.
    • Reviewing legal documentation, financial statements, and market data to support strategic recommendations.

Pay

For New York, NY, the salary range for this position is USD $216,000.00 – USD $270,000.00. Employees are also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Total compensation may vary based on role, location, and individual, department, and firm performance under a pay-for-performance philosophy.

Schedule

BlackRock’s hybrid work model requires employees to work at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week. Some business groups may require more in-office time based on role and responsibilities. New joiners can expect this model to accelerate learning and onboarding.
