About the role
The VP, Events is a leadership role responsible for shaping and executing Birthright Israel Foundation's event strategy to advance donor engagement and fundraising objectives. This individual will combine strategic vision, creative innovation, and operational precision to deliver exceptional experiences that inspire donors and strengthen their emotional connection to the Birthright Israel mission.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of event planning and execution
- Develop and implement strategic events to enhance donor engagement and fundraising
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment on event goals and objectives
- Manage event logistics including venue selection, catering, and vendor coordination
- Ensure events align with the Birthright Israel Foundation's brand and messaging
- Measure and report on event success metrics to inform future strategies
Requirements
- Proven track record in event management and fundraising
- Experience in non-profit or related field
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in event management and/or fundraising
- Experience working with non-profit organizations
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving
