Director, Air Vehicle Integration

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Director Air Vehicle Integration to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space. This role will drive marketing initiatives focused on growth, customer acquisition, brand performance, and measurable demand creation. You will collaborate with analytics, product, creative, and commercial teams to turn market insights into scalable campaigns, testing strategies, and performance improvements. The position offers the opportunity to directly influence customer engagement, conversion performance, and revenue growth within a Aerospace & Defense environment.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end systems integration architecture and definition
• Lead integration planning throughout the full development lifecycle
• Identify and resolve interface risks across technical disciplines proactively
• Define system-level test and integration planning strategies
• Collaborate with multiple teams to establish and uphold interface agreements
• Lead major integration reviews and prepare for certification milestones
• Build, lead, and develop the systems integration team, fostering independent problem ownership
• Drive root cause analysis for system-level issues in testing or flight

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering
• 12+ years in systems engineering with at least 4 years in a leadership role
• Deep expertise in interface definition and control, including ICD development
• Experience leading integration on hardware and software programs, accountable for test outcomes
• Familiarity with DO-178C, DO-254, or equivalent certification frameworks
• Proven ability to lead across organizational boundaries without direct authority
• Strong communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder engagement
