- About the role
The Director, AI & Data serves as a strategic partner to business and functional leaders, embedding AI, analytics, and data-driven insights into operations, planning, and performance measurement. This leader will also build and mentor a high-performing team while championing responsible AI, data ethics, and governance.
- Lead the enterprise AI and data strategy
- Define and manage an enterprise AI and data roadmap
- Embed advanced analytics and AI capabilities into core business processes
- Establish and operationalize data governance, stewardship, and standardization practices
- Partner closely with IT, business units, and functional leaders
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of data scientists, engineers, and analytics leaders
- Promote data literacy and AI enablement across functions
- Monitor performance and continuously refine AI and data initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field required
- Master’s degree or MBA preferred
- 10+ years in data and analytics leadership roles, including 5+ years leading enterprise data/AI initiatives
- Deep knowledge of AI/ML technologies, cloud data platforms, and data engineering best practices
- Demonstrated success driving data and AI transformations at scale in complex organizations
- Expertise in ethical AI, data privacy, and compliance standards
- Strong skills in communication, leadership, change management, and stakeholder engagement
Hiring Range
At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $193,000-$250,000. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
