Director, Data & AI

For our client, we are seeking a Director, Data & AI to join the team of a leader in the Real Estate & Construction space. This leader will own the strategy and execution for analytics and machine learning initiatives that inform product direction and company performance. The role partners closely with product and engineering teams to turn data insights into measurable improvements in logistics, forecasting, and customer outcomes. It is a hands-on leadership position with the opportunity to build scalable data infrastructure, operationalize models, and guide a growing team in a fast-moving environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $150,000 – $180,000 annually Responsibilities Own and define the data and machine learning roadmap tied to product and company metrics Collaborate with product and engineering teams to turn data insights into impactful features Lead machine learning strategy for key product challenges, including routing and demand forecasting Manage the transition of ML models from prototype to production and ensure operational efficiency Oversee the analytics function that supports business decisions and metrics tracking Build and maintain a trustworthy data platform and warehouse infrastructure Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing data and machine learning team Qualifications 8+ years of experience in data and/or ML, including 3+ years in leadership roles at high-growth companies Proven experience deploying machine learning models into production and overseeing their outcomes Strong proficiency with modern data stacks, particularly Snowflake or equivalent Demonstrated ability to connect data insights to measurable product outcomes Effective communicator with a hands-on approach and a builder's mindset Benefits Unique opportunity to lead both analytics and ML initiatives Direct impact on logistics and product outcomes through data-driven insights Early-stage role with resources to implement ideas and solutions Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and 401K Work within a mission-driven team in a rapidly scaling environment Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
