The Director, Advanced Analytics leads the development and execution of the organization’s data-driven strategy, ensuring that advanced analytics and business consulting initiatives deliver measurable value to both internal stakeholders and external clients. They act as a trusted advisor, collaborating with cross-functional teams to address key business challenges using Marketing Analytics domain expertise.

This role combines strategic leadership with technical oversight, guiding cross-functional teams to provide actionable insights, develop meaningful value narratives around impact and ROI of client marketing programs, and implement solutions that address complex business challenges. The Director fosters a culture of innovation, oversees client relationships, and identifies opportunities for continuous growth and improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development of data innovation strategy and spearhead companywide data initiatives, setting and delivering on the strategic vision for Enterprise Analytics team.
  • Work in combination with internal teams and third-party analysis vendors to lead the evolution of how we measure, report, and share meaningful insights.
  • Assess analytical needs, including strategic fit, market attractiveness, financial value, and risk profile.
  • Provide hands-on solutions in early project stages, driving initiatives forward, including leading the design, development, and maintenance of data models, dashboards, and automation projects.
  • Propose and implement technology solutions to improve data collection and utilization for competitive advantage.
  • Develop and implement client reporting and measurement solutions and deliverables, including:
    • Rx Impact reporting – identifying scalable solutions for complex test/control impact analysis methodologies rooted in statistical models applied to Claims data.
    • Claims-based analyses - focus on identifying optimal audiences and assessing impact.
    • NPI-based reporting (PLD) – focus on automating, optimizing, and scaling reporting infrastructure.
    • Self-Service approaches - developing solutions to support technical and non-technical stakeholders to access data that supports business needs.
  • Engage with customers and internal stakeholders to execute and deliver ad hoc analyses, provide unique program insights, and act as the Messaging Analytics subject matter expert.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and training to ensure team performance and coach analytics colleagues.
  • Foster productive cross-functional relationships, resolve conflicts, and set priorities.
  • Perform leadership duties, including interviewing candidates, conducting performance reviews, addressing performance issues, and applying appropriate disciplinary action.
  • Manage staffing and workload distribution as the team grows.
  • Engage across various areas, including Marketing Analytics, Business Development, and Product Development, to identify areas where analytics can drive business value, frame business problems into analytic questions, and influence strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in: Data Analytics, Data Science, Economics, Finance, Statistics, or related applied quantitative field. Advanced degree desired.

Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in providing leadership and managing an analytics team with at least 7+ years in marketing analytics in the healthcare (Life Science) industry or analytics consulting and professional services management experience (agency experience a plus).
  • Life Science experience preferred.

Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of the mechanics of data structures, business intelligence, advanced data science, and statistical modeling methodologies.
  • Experience with SQL, business intelligence tools, and statistical programming (e.g., Python) and strong understanding of hiring & skill assessment in these disciplines is required.

Skills

  • Proficiency with BI and statistical programming tools (e.g., SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.).

Pay

Posted Salary Range: USD $122,700.00 - USD $190,300.00 /Yr.

This position offers opportunities for a bonus (or commissions), with total compensation varying based on factors such as location, relevant skills, experience, and capabilities.
