DIRECTOR OF ACCOUNTING / CONTROLLER | PUBLIC LIFE SCIENCES Greater Boston | Onsite $200K+ Base + Bonus + Equity A publicly traded life sciences company in the Greater Boston area is seeking a Director of Accounting / Controller to join its finance leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting leader seeking broad responsibility across corporate accounting, financial reporting, technical accounting, and financial operations. The Role Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including general ledger, consolidations, and financial reportingOversee accounting for R&D activities and other industry-specific transactionsSupport SEC reporting, technical accounting, and SOX complianceManage complex accounting matters involving equity, stock-based compensation, debt, and other financial instrumentsLead external audit activities and strengthen accounting policies, controls, and processesPartner with senior leadership across Finance and other functional areasDrive process improvements and support the continued development of the accounting organization Ideal Profile: Public accounting background required; Big 4 preferredBiotechnology/pharmaceutical industry experience requiredStrong U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and technical accounting backgroundPublic company and SOX experienceExperience with complex accounting transactions and financial reportingCPA preferredHands-on, proactive accounting leader with strong communication and leadership skillsComfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment If interested and seeking more information, please send a Word Doc version resume to Joe McConnell - JMcConnell@kbwfinancial.com KBW789
