About the role

Miller Pipeline, a premier underground pipeline construction and repair contractor since 1953, is seeking experienced Directional Drill Operators and Locators. The position involves safely drilling and pulling pipe, communicating with customers, and completing required project paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Safely and effectively operate all directional drill equipment
• Identify potential problems and develop/implement solutions
• Enforce company policies and standard work procedures
• Ensure compliance with safety rules and regulations for crew and public safety
• Troubleshoot and repair minor equipment problems
• Interact with customers to explain work procedures at the worksite or residence
• Complete project paperwork as required by the customer

Qualifications

• Prior directional drilling experience
• Ability to travel within the service area
• Valid driver/operator license
• High school diploma or equivalent (experience may be considered in lieu of education)
• Pass computer‑based testing specific to the local customer’s operator qualifications
• Class A CDL with tanker endorsements
