Groupe multiconseil agricole Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean (GMA) is a non-profit organization with 46 years of experience, dedicated to supporting agricultural entrepreneurs in the region. As the leading team of professionals in agro-environmental consulting, management, agricultural engineering, and human resources, GMA is committed to promoting sustainable agriculture. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic team of 29 collaborators across three locations, working with passionate professionals to drive the performance and sustainability of agricultural businesses.
Responsibilities
- In collaboration with the Board of Directors, define the strategic directions of the Organization and ensure the deployment and monitoring of strategic and action plans.
- Oversee the daily operations of the Organization, including:
- Ensuring the financial health of the Organization and achieving strategic objectives.
- Monitoring operational and team performance, implementing improvement strategies as needed.
- Maintaining a harmonious work environment, supervising team leaders, and ensuring they have the resources necessary for their teams’ success.
- Manage all human resources activities, including staffing, development, evaluation, compensation, and updating HR policies.
- Represent the Organization with partners and network members, and lead business development strategies and actions for GMA.
- Prepare for and attend Board of Directors meetings and plan the annual general assembly.
- Perform other related management and supervisory tasks.
Requirements
- Hold a relevant degree combined with several years of management experience.
- Demonstrate strong relational and mobilization skills.
- Be curious and possess a strong capacity for learning.
- Be willing to travel occasionally within the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region.
Experience in the agricultural sector is not required but will be considered an asset.
Benefits
- Annual salary between $76,000 and $110,000.
- Flexible work schedule of 35 hours per week.
- Annual vacation plus:
- Two weeks of paid vacation during the holiday season.

The selected candidate will benefit from a transition period and knowledge transfer under the responsibility of the outgoing General Director.
