Responsibilities

  • Support participants to achieve independence and pursue their vision of a "good life."
  • Implement the participant's Individual Plan according to organizational guidelines.
  • Maintain the participant's health and safety by following established protocols.
  • Respond to and report issues of concern to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Provide personal care and assist with daily living activities, respecting participant privacy and confidentiality.
  • Accurately complete participant-related data and documentation by the assigned deadline.
  • Submit timesheets, leave requests, and other required paperwork by the assigned deadline.
  • Attend and participate in department meetings and trainings as required.
  • Maintain a clean, hygienic, and safe environment.
  • Respond appropriately and immediately to emergencies as defined in the Family of Companies (FoC) Operational Procedures.
  • Report any safety concerns to the Program Manager or other supervisor.
  • Handle multiple tasks, adhere to deadlines, and process urgent projects while paying attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • At least 18 years old.
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Equivalent to a high school diploma or GED.
  • Exercise patience and understanding with participants of various skill levels and needs.
  • Communicate effectively (verbally and written), read, and use the primary language within the workplace.
  • Exercise confidentiality and discretion regarding the work environment as required by HIPPA.
  • Commit to the organization's values and demonstrate good judgment, flexibility, and discretion.
  • Have operating knowledge of computers, iPads, tablets, applications, software, standard office equipment, and Microsoft Office.
  • Be able to use an iPhone or work cell phone if applicable.
  • Be able to work comfortably with individuals at all levels within the organization.
  • Be physically capable of frequent bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, twisting, standing or sitting for extended periods, occasional lifting up to 50 lbs, providing assistance during transfers, and frequent driving.
  • Pass health screenings, obtain vaccinations, and clear TB testing based on company policies.
  • Obtain and maintain First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Attend all required training.

Conditions of Employment

  • Ability to obtain and maintain criminal record clearance through the Department of Justice (DOJ).
  • Reliable transportation needed.
  • Valid Driver’s License with Insurance, proof of current vehicle registration and safety check; maintain a clean driving record.
  • Clearance through the Office of Inspector General.
  • Obtain and maintain current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Attend all required training.

Pay and Schedule

$17.50 to $18.50 per hour.

Schedule

Full-time employment.
