Direct Support Professionals (DSP)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Aid with daily routines such as cleaning, cooking, feeding, medication administration, and maintaining personal hygiene
• Monitor the health and medical needs of individuals and report any concerns immediately
• Assist with the learning and development of independent and community-based skills
• Engage individuals in community, social, and recreational activities
• Drive individuals to medical appointments and activities in the community
• Complete accurate and timely program documentation and billable records
• Build a support network for individuals by developing and maintaining relationships with community members, businesses, and families

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
• Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports
• Exercise good judgment and remain calm in crisis situations

Pay

• Sunday/Monday/Friday & Saturday: $18.00 per hour (32 hours part-time)
• Saturday & Sunday: $18.00 per hour (16 hours part-time)
• Saturday & Sunday: $18.00 per hour (16 hours part-time)
• Sunday: $18.00 per hour (26 hours part-time)
• Thursday: $18.00 per hour (26 hours part-time)

Schedule

• Sunday/Monday/Friday & Saturday: 3p-11p (32 hours part-time)
• Saturday & Sunday: 7a-3p (16 hours part-time)
• Saturday & Sunday: 7a-3p (16 hours part-time)
• Sunday: 11p-9p (26 hours part-time)
• Thursday: 11p-9p (26 hours part-time)
• Friday & Saturday: 11p-7p (26 hours part-time)
