About the role

Join a mission-driven team delivering restorative care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in supportive, community-based settings. As a Restorative Support Professional, you will play a critical role in implementing behavioral health care plans and supporting individuals in achieving greater independence, emotional well-being, and community integration.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver restorative and rehabilitative services based on individual behavioral health care plans.
  • Provide motivational, consistent, and respectful support to foster high-quality relationships.
  • Use crisis intervention skills and offer intensive support during challenging moments.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to enhance individuals' daily routines and life skills, including: nutritional guidance, employment and volunteer opportunities, social and relationship development, personal care and hygiene, medication administration.
  • Maintain a safe, healthy, and positive environment that promotes growth and autonomy.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of intellectual/developmental disabilities and co-occurring emotional/mental health needs.
  • Skilled in monitoring, documenting, and communicating progress clearly and professionally.
  • A natural role model with a positive, caring demeanor and a strong sense of teamwork.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience providing rehabilitative or behavioral support to individuals with I/DD and mental health needs.
  • Safety Care Certification preferred (current or previous).
  • Licensure: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 25-50 lbs. (with assistance or lifting devices), and perform physical tasks such as bending, squatting, pushing/pulling, or kneeling without restriction.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening.

Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of behavioral health principles and practices.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
