Direct Support Professional - Specialized IDD

About the role

The role involves providing direct support to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD), focusing on specialized care and support services.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily living support to individuals with IDD
• Assist with personal hygiene and grooming tasks
• Facilitate communication and social interaction activities
• Monitor health and safety needs of the individuals
• Participate in team meetings to discuss progress and challenges

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Experience working with individuals with IDD is preferred
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills
• Good physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Passing a background check and criminal history review
