DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL - ROCKLAND

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with their daily living skills as well as with meal planning and preparation.
• Transfer individuals in and out of wheelchairs.
• Drive as part of the job, requiring a valid, non-restricted driver license.
• Be awake during the entire shift and refrain from sleeping on the job.

Physical Requirements

• Use lifts provided for all lifting tasks.
• Lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
• Occasionally lift greater weights, requiring the ability to identify when assistance is needed.

Education & Experience

• A high school diploma is required.
• A valid, non-restricted driver’s license is required.
• Related work experience is preferred but not required.
