Job Details
Pay Range: $19.50 - $20 per hour (Depending on years of experience) plus $1.00/hour differential on top of base rate.
A Day In The Life
You’ll spend your days supporting a group of fun, vibrant people who are active and enjoy:
- Numerous Special Olympics sports which require driving over the Bay Bridge
- Playing board games, Arts & Crafts, and gardening
- Going to concerts and dances
- Learning to cook
- Family is very important to them, and the families are very involved
- Decorating and planning for the holidays
How You’ll Support
Help individuals live independently by assisting with:
- Cooking
- Cleaning
- Laundry
- Taking medication
Support community engagement, whether that’s a walk in the park, attending local events.
Be a steady presence in important moments—family visits, milestones, or just a shared cup of coffee.
Advocate for each person’s rights and help build their confidence and sense of self.
Keep clear, respectful records to ensure continuity of care and support.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Valid driver’s license with at least 2 years of driving experience and no more than 3 points
- Comfortable driving agency vehicles and assisting people who use wheelchairs
- Able to lift up to 75 pounds, stand for long periods, and provide physical assistance when needed
- Completion of Medication Technician Training Program (or willingness to complete)
