Job Duties
- Aid individuals in achieving their independence goals
- Model positive behavior for individuals served
- Offer guidance, instruction, coaching, and support based on individual plans
- Incorporate individuals into beneficial programs and activities
- Transport and accompany individuals for appointments and outings
- Perform direct personal care as needed
- Assist with meal preparation and household tasks
- Ensure the safety of individuals, including managing medical and medication needs
- Implement approved behavior plans and intervention strategies
- Complete records and reports according to agency policy
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- No prior experience required
- No specific licenses or certifications required
- Clearances: Pennsylvania Child Abuse, Criminal, and fingerprint-based federal criminal history; Verification of non-inclusion on Medicaid/Medicare exclusion lists
