Direct Support Professional Part-Time

About the role

You will be a caregiver who helps participants grow, learn, and live well. The position involves building meaningful relationships, supporting community involvement, and assisting with personal hygiene, budgeting, exercise, nutrition, and behavioral challenges.

Responsibilities

• Develop real, meaningful relationships with the individuals you serve.
• Support participants in community activities and favorite outings.
• Assist with personal hygiene and daily living tasks.
• Help participants achieve developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
• Provide support for individuals with behavioral challenges and other complex needs.
• Take initiative to ensure participants are included in community life.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination (preferred).

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license held for at least one year (post‑permit).
• Clean motor vehicle registration record that meets Sevita’s insurability policy.
• Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.

$17.00 an hour

Schedule

• Tuesday 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Wednesday 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Every other weekend 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM
