Direct Support Professional - Part-time and Weekends
Join our mission-driven team as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) and help individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities live full, empowered, and independent lives at home and in the community.
About the role
We are hiring compassionate, reliable Direct Support Professionals to provide respectful, person-centered support. Available schedules are part-time with weekend shifts and one weekday, primarily on 2nd and 3rd shifts (both sleep and awake).
Responsibilities
- Provide respectful, person-centered support in daily living tasks
- Assist with personal care: ambulation, bathing, grooming, toileting, etc.
- Engage individuals in social, recreational, and community activities
- Prepare meals, cleaning, laundry, and household tasks
- Transport individuals safely to appointments or social outings
- Encourage personal growth and achievement of goals
- Accurately document activities, incidents, and client progress
- Communicate professionally with team members, families, and clients
- Participate in required paid training and team meetings
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be 18 years or older
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (fewer than 6 points)
- Proof of auto insurance
- Ability to pass BCI/FBI background checks and required screenings
Pay
$17.00 per hour (sleep shifts $13.00 per hour).
Schedule
- Part-time, weekends and one weekday
- Anticipated hours: 12-20 hours per week
- 2nd and 3rd shifts (sleep and awake shifts available)
