DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL - ON CAMPUS

Duties & Responsibilities

• Implement individualized action plans for individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities.
• Aid in improving personal care, social skills, money management, life skills, and overall wellbeing.
• Knowledge of Individual Staff Action Plans required.
• Provide constant supervision and observation of individuals.
• Maintain cleanliness of the residence.
• Serve as a role model and advocate.
• Work mandatory overtime.
• Mandatory driving required.
• A valid, non-restricted driver’s license is required.

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid (non-restricted) Driver’s License required.
• Related work experience preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Must be able to perform SCIP-R physical interventions including use of lifts.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
• Must be able to travel stairs to the 2nd floor as necessary.
