Direct Support Professional- On Call
About Your Role
As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide care, support, and skills-training to individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental health challenges. You will foster positive relationships between caretakers and individuals served, ensuring client safety and maintaining a safe environment. You will assist clients with self-administration of medications (with proper training) and encourage self-help activities. You will perform home management functions such as light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, and cleaning, helping clients plan meals, shop for groceries, prepare and serve food/meals, feed and clean-up. You will also accompany clients to scheduled appointments and run errands if needed (approved drivers only). The focus will be on supporting clients with social skills and integration into the community.
Pay
Competitive pay rate - $19.00/hour
Requirements
- High School Diploma/General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
- A valid driver’s license with a good driving record
