Direct Support Professional Lead - (DSP Lead)

About the role

At Aspire Living & Learning, we support neurodiverse individuals across New England and Maryland. We provide person-centered services in education, behavioral health, residential, and community-based settings. The DSP Lead plays a crucial role in coordinating schedules, assigning responsibilities, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate a positive and productive workplace atmosphere to enhance team morale and productivity.
• Support individuals in learning valuable life skills and integrating with their community.
• Provide ongoing support for daily activities, including meal planning and cleaning.
• Aid in medication administration and personal hygiene tasks.
• Ensure a safe and inclusive environment through documentation and other tasks.
• Communicate with other employees, guardians, and team members.
• Upload, document, and support therapy; manage program finances and meal planning.
• Schedule medical appointments and conduct environmental checks.
• Oversight of maintenance needs and fleet management (if applicable).
• Support financial management under the guidance of the Program Manager.
• Participate in and complete training sessions as required.
• Communicate feedback to managers to assist with the supervisory process.
• Perform additional job responsibilities as assigned.
• Conduct training as required and assigned.
• Accept reassignment as required.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated computer literacy for completing required electronic documentation.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required; degree in Human Services, Psychology, or related field preferred.
• Must pass and maintain required trainings and certifications.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Ability to handle physical aspects of the job, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Flexible to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
