Seven Hills Community Services, an affiliate of Seven Hills Foundation, offers the role of Direct Support Professional II - Awake Overnight. The position pays $20.50/hr for awake hours (with an additional $1/hr differential for active MAP certification).
About the role
This role provides direct support or services with a higher level of skill or experience, contributing to the care and support of service recipients while maintaining quality, service excellence, and ethical standards. It involves training or supervising direct support employees and working closely with a multidisciplinary team to implement individualized care plans aligned with each person's goals and needs.
Responsibilities
- Support Advocates are responsible for the provision of day-to-day services to program participants, assisting and teaching them in personal care tasks such as bathing, toileting, and teeth brushing to ensure they always look and feel their best.
- Assist and teach individuals in household maintenance, meal prep, and shopping, providing opportunities for individuals to take on increasing control and responsibility over their daily lives.
- Accompany individuals on appointments as needed.
- Administer medications (or support self-medication) according to residential guidelines.
- Follow routines including Behavior Support Plans, personal care, Physical Therapy, etc.
- Receive paid training on CPR/First Aid, Safety Care, Defensive Driving, and Medication Administration Program (MAP).
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years old or older.
- A high school diploma, GED, or HiSET is required.
- One to three years of related experience is preferred.
- A valid driver’s license and good driving record are required.
- CPR/First Aid and MAP certification are required (paid training provided if needed).
