About the role

KenCrest Services is seeking compassionate and reliable Direct Support Professionals to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in group home settings. Part-time positions are available across all shifts, offering flexibility and meaningful work.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living tasks such as personal care, meals, and medication
• Encourage community involvement and foster independence
• Help with household routines
• Cheer someone on as they achieve a personal goal

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record required
• Minimum of 2 years licensed driving experience required
• Advanced ability to convey, understand, and follow spoken and written instructions in English required
• Experience with individuals with IDD preferred, but willing to train otherwise qualified candidates
• Certification in medication administration, first aid, and CPR preferred (KenCrest does provide PAID training to all new hires)

Pay

Starting rate: $18.50
CT Medical Certification: $19.25
