Direct Support Professional (Evening-PT)

About the role

ResCare Community Living, part of the Sevita family, provides person‑centered services that empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live independently at home and in their community. As a caregiver you will help participants grow, learn, and live well while building meaningful relationships and supporting them in daily activities and community involvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop real, meaningful relationships with the individuals you serve.
• Take initiative to help participants engage in community activities and enjoy their favorite pursuits.
• Support participants with developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
• Assist with personal hygiene and daily living tasks.
• Provide care for individuals who may have behavioral challenges or other complex needs.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to ensure high‑quality, person‑centered care.

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Skills: Strong communication, adaptability, multi‑tasking, teamwork, and time‑management abilities.
• Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, and responsible.
• Vehicle: Valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.

Pay

Competitive pay on demand with a rate of $15.75 per hour.
