Direct Support Professional (Employment Specialist)
About the role
Join our team as a Direct Support Professional in our vibrant day program for adults with disabilities. You’ll provide direct care and supervision, support daily living activities, facilitate group and individual activities, drive the company van, foster a safe and respectful environment, assist in goal-setting, monitor progress, and communicate effectively.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and supervision to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Support individuals with daily living activities such as hygiene, mobility, eating, and personal care.
- Facilitate and participate in group and individual activities including arts and crafts, games, music, exercise, and life skills.
- Drive the company van to transport participants to community outings.
- Foster a safe, respectful, and joyful environment both within the program facility and during off-site activities.
- Aid individuals in setting and working toward personal goals that build life skills and meaningful relationships.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of participant progress, behaviors, and incidents.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and families.
- Adhere to program policies, state regulations, and ethical standards.
- Participate in ongoing staff training and professional development.
Requirements
- Valid RealID
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Kind, patient, and upbeat personality
- No experience required, training provided

Pay
Salary ranges provided reflect the expected compensation based on experience, education, skills, qualifications, location, and other relevant job-related factors, and may include additional components such as incentive compensation and benefits. Final compensation will be determined in accordance with applicable laws and business needs (such as contractual obligations).
Schedule
Day Program Shift: 8:30 am to 2:30 pm – No Weekends
