About the role

JCFS is seeking full-time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide supports to adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities in their home and community. Positions are available Monday through Friday from 2:00p.m. - 9:15 p.m.

Responsibilities

  • Support individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities in their home and community
  • Work in additional residential locations as needed for training and staffing purposes
  • May occasionally work outside the designated area
  • Train and support all residential homes within the department as required

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record
  • HCWR entry as DSP or CNA S-TOFHLA Passing score (Literacy test)
  • Ability to work between Rogers Park and Skokie areas during assigned work hours
  • Experience supporting people with disabilities
  • Reliable transportation

Qualifications

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Pay

$20.00 hourly rate with increases based on proven relatable experience
