Direct Support Professional (DSP) - FT and PT Available!

Responsibilities

Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities – our goal is to foster increased independence, choice and empowerment while assuring that their health and safety needs are being met at all times.

Supervising, teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of his/her life.

Completing various household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.

Providing personal care assistance.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• A high school diploma or GED.
• A personal, reliable vehicle that you're willing and able to use to transport individuals served.
• A valid driver's license and car insurance.
• A Motor Vehicle Record that meets ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria.
• The ability to push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and can climb, balance, kneel and crouch.

Qualifications

All welcome! At ViaQuest Residential Services our DSPs provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes. Training for this position is provided in its entirety so no experience is required.

Skills

None specifically listed, but strong interpersonal skills and the ability to provide direct care and support are essential.
