Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Responsibilities

• Provide total care - assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, toileting, etc.
• Job coaching
• SUPPORT individuals to obtain skills for daily living
• Encourage independence through personalized plans of care
• SUPPORT individuals with recreational activities in the community
• Nurture social and communication skills
• Strengthen independence

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• Current, non-provisional driver’s license in good standing
• High school diploma or GED
• A desire to work with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities to achieve or maintain increased independence, productivity, and inclusion in their homes and in the community
• CPR/First Aid certification (preferred)
• Previous DSP experience is required

Pay

$20-$25 an hour
