Direct Support Professional (DSP)

About the role

Aspire Living & Learning is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for one of our Abingdon Residential locations. In this role, you will provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting, assisting with daily activities and representing the needs, wants, and interests of those served.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily activities, including household chores, meal preparation, recreational activities, learning activities, and physical fitness activities.
• Provide input on program planning and implementation for individuals served.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving experience.
• Basic computer skills; experience using Therap is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Empathy, enthusiasm, and a passion for helping others.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities in a professional setting strongly preferred.
• Supervisory experience is a plus.

Pay

$18.20 per hour.
