Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Schedule

• 30 hours per week
• Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday
• Consistent weekly schedule with opportunities for additional hours

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate one-on-one support in the individual's home and community.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed.
• Encourage independence while ensuring the individual's health and safety.
• Accompany individuals on community outings, recreational activities, shopping, and appointments.
• Build a positive, trusting relationship with the individual and their family.
• Complete accurate daily documentation and electronic shift notes.
• Follow each individual's ISP, behavior support plans, and agency policies.
• Communicate professionally with supervisors, families, and support coordinators.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities is preferred but not required.
• Compassionate, patient, dependable, and professional.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Ability to successfully complete all required background checks and training.
