About the role

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) implements individualized plans, attends to personal care needs, oversees health, safety and well-being of supported individuals, keeps nurses advised, participates in agency activities, transports and accompanies individuals in community activities, assists with daily housekeeping and facility-related duties, and maintains documentation in residential, day habilitation, community habilitation, or school-age program sites. Upstate Caring Partners seeks energetic and motivated staff to work with individuals with disabilities to help them achieve their goals, providing care, support, and assistance with activities of daily living.

Responsibilities

• Implement each individualized plan
• Attend to personal care needs
• Oversee the health, safety and well-being of the people we support
• Keep nurses advised
• Participate in Agency activities
• Transport and accompany people we support on activities in the community
• Assist in daily housekeeping and other facility-related duties
• Maintain documentation in residential, day habilitation, community habilitation, or school-age program sites
• Provide care, support, and assistance with activities of daily living

Requirements

• Valid NYS Driver’s License
• No previous experience required (paid training provided)

Schedule

Full-time, part-time, and weekend only opportunities are available.
