Brightway Living & Learning is a premier non‑profit provider of human services on Long Island, offering educational, residential, day habilitation, and vocational programs. Building on a 65‑year legacy as the Developmental Disabilities Institute (DDI), Brightway supports over 1,600 children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities through a full continuum of care. Responsibilities

• Provide individualized support with personal care, meal preparation, transportation, and community outings.
• Foster independence by helping individuals develop life skills and make choices.
• Promote social inclusion by supporting participation in community activities.
• Serve as a positive role model, demonstrating empathy and patience.
• Collaborate effectively with a supportive team of DSPs, supervisors, and families.

Requirements

• Valid NYS driver’s license held for at least 18 months with a clean driving history.
• Successful completion of Brightway Living and Learning Transportation Orientation.

Pay

Hourly rate: $21.00 – $23.10. New hires who do not meet the driver’s‑license requirement will start at $19.00 per hour.

Schedule

• Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday: 10 p.m. – 8 a.m. (40 hours)
• Sunday: 9 p.m. – 8 a.m. (40 hours)
• Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 3 p.m. – 10 p.m., Sunday: 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. (40 hours)
• Tuesday, Thursday: 2 p.m. – 10 p.m., Saturday: 3 p.m. – 9 p.m. (24 hours)
• Saturday: 3 p.m. – 9 p.m., Sunday: 2 p.m. – 9 p.m. (13 hours)
• DHWW (Daytime, Home‑Based Work) Monday & Friday: 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. (14 hours)
