About the role
Full-time, part-time, and per-diem roles are available. Employees are welcome to pick up extra shifts to get more hours.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities or autism
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration
- Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals under your care
- Promote independence and community integration for individuals with disabilities
- Document and maintain accurate records of services provided
- Advocate for the rights and needs of individuals with disabilities
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
The employee may be required to perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License and High School Diploma/GED
- Comfortable driving a 15-passenger van (road test required prior to starting)
- Must attend additional trainings within 6 months of hire (CPR, SCIP, AMAP)
- Comfortable with daily use of technology (computer, email, phone, typing, etc.)
- Effective verbal and written communication
