Direct Support Professional Day Shift

About the role

Damar is a leading provider of behavioral health and intellectual and developmental disability (I/DD) services. As an Enhanced Acuity Technician, you will provide direct support to individuals who reside at Damar Services. Your responsibilities include client supervision and care, crisis management, promoting appropriate social behaviors, and supporting clients in achieving their maximum potential.

Responsibilities

• Perform natural environment training and skills-based treatment
• Collect and analyze data
• Provide intensive intervention services
• Supervise and care for clients
• Manage crises and promote appropriate behaviors
• Support clients in achieving programming goals and ADLs
• Operate Damar vehicles to transport clients or perform other work-related duties
• Complete incident reports and report suspected exploitation, abuse, or neglect
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings

Requirements

• At least 21 years old for Children's Residential programs
• Valid Indiana driver’s license and good driving record
• Clear of felony convictions and substantiated charges of neglect
• Successfully complete a pre-employment physical
• Favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass a background check
• Pass a pre-employment physical

Schedule

Day shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM with weekend rotation
Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM with weekend rotation
