Direct Support Professional Day Services - WOW North

About the role

A Direct Support Professional in the WOW program helps promote independence and self-esteem to persons with disabilities by accompanying them into the community on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

• Interact with individuals in a positive and encouraging way.
• Introduce individuals to community-based and site-based activities that inspire growth.
• Accompany individuals into the community on a daily basis.
• Participate in a variety of group activities throughout the day at a site or in the community.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid NYS driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Computer skills: able to use email, Google Suite, and database systems.
• Daily access to a vehicle.
• Ability to pass SCIP/CPR and be Med Certified.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Pay

$19.45–$25.05/hr (range reflects 20 years of experience).
