Position Overview

As a Day Program Direct Support Professional, you will promote abilities-not disabilities by supporting individuals in building skills, confidence, and meaningful connections within their community. You will help identify and build upon each person's unique strengths, interests, and gifts to encourage social inclusion.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required
  • Experience: Experience in human services or a related field supporting individuals with disabilities preferred
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and proof of automobile insurance required

Compensation & Benefits

  • Paid Time Off: 22 days of PTO annually for full-time employees working 40 hours per week, PTO increases with longevity, no waiting period to begin using PTO

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support individuals in building self-esteem and independence through planned activities and community involvement
  • Provide individualized supports, including personal care and skill development
  • Aid individuals in presenting and maintaining a positive self-image
  • Participate in Person-Centered Planning and implementation of goals
  • Complete required documentation, including data collection and monthly progress notes
  • Maintain compliance with all required state and agency trainings (Relias and in-person)
  • Report safety, health, or human rights concerns immediately
  • Ensure compliance with applicable state regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Primarily indoor residential setting with occasional outdoor activities
  • Minimal noise levels at the residence
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and assist with transfers
  • Frequent walking, standing, and occasional stair climbing
  • Ability to operate wheelchairs and mechanical lifts
  • Emergency behavioral interventions may be required per individual plans

Travel Requirements

  • Access to a personal vehicle during scheduled work hours
  • Frequent travel with supported individuals using personal or agency vehicles
  • Valid NH driver's license and acceptable driving record required
