Direct Support Professional/ Day Hab Wantagh location Mon-Fri 7:30-3:30p 40 hours per week

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 3:30 pm (40 hours per week) at the Wantagh location. Family‑friendly daytime hours.

Pay

Starting at $15.00 per hour, with experience up to $16.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Good oral and written communication skills (required).
• Valid NYS driver’s license; must remain a qualified driver.
• AMAP/First Aid/CPR/SCIP‑R training (preferred).
• Minimum one year of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities (preferred).

Physical Aspects

• Lifting and transferring an adult volunteer, among other duties.
• Transportation/driving as needed, including wheelchair‑accessible vehicle operation and lockdown situations.

Responsibilities

• Transport volunteers to and from the program site, residences, community volunteer job locations, and additional hub sites.
• Assist volunteers in achieving personal growth and satisfaction in community‑based endeavors.
• Ensure the safety of program volunteers at all locations, including agency sites, community jobs, and hub sites.
• Act as liaison between volunteer job‑site staff and program volunteers.
