Direct Support Professional/ Day Hab Oceanside location Mon-Fri 7:30-3:30p 40 hrs per week

Responsibilities

• Transport volunteers to and from the program site, residences, community volunteer job locations, and additional hub sites.
• Assist volunteers in achieving personal growth, satisfaction, and success in community‑based endeavors.
• Ensure the safety of program volunteers while at the program site, agency locations, community volunteer jobs, and all other hub sites.
• Act as liaison between volunteer job‑site staff and program volunteers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Good oral and written communication skills required.
• Valid NYS Driver’s License; must be and remain a qualified driver.
• AMAP/First Aid/CPR/SCIP‑R training preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience supporting people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities preferred.

Physical Requirements

• May include lifting and transferring an adult volunteer.
• Transportation/driving as needed, including operation of wheelchair‑accessible vehicles and handling lockdown situations.

Pay

Starting pay scale is $15.00 per hour, with experience‑based rates up to $16.00 per hour.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 3:30 pm (40 hours per week). Family‑friendly daytime hours.
