Direct Support Professional - Concord

About the role

Aspire Living & Learning is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a community setting in Concord, NH. The DSP will assist with daily activities, including household chores, meal preparation, recreational activities, learning activities, and physical fitness activities. You will represent the needs, wants, and interests of individuals served and provide input on program planning and implementation. The role may include assisting with transportation to community activities to help individuals build valuable life skills, using either a company vehicle or a personal vehicle (with mileage reimbursement).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities in daily activities.
• Assist with household chores, meal preparation, recreational, learning, and physical fitness activities.
• Represent the needs, wants, and interests of individuals served.
• Provide input on program planning and implementation.
• Assist with transportation to community activities to build life skills (may use a company or personal vehicle).

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid US driver’s license and auto insurance with at least 3 years of driving experience.
• Access to reliable transportation; some positions may require use of a personal vehicle.
• Basic computer skills; experience using Therap a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Empathy, enthusiasm, and a passion for helping others.

Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities in a professional setting is strongly preferred.

Pay

$18.00–$19.20 per hour, based on education and experience.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–3:00 PM. Part-time position available (18 hours per week).
