Direct Support Professional (Caregiver) – Community Outings
About the Role
At The Arc of Greater New Orleans, you'll have the opportunity to change lives by empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role offers variety in your day—getting to know community members, participating in local events like parades, and bringing joy to those you support. You won’t be confined to one building; instead, you’ll work in dynamic settings that foster independence and connection.

Responsibilities
- Build meaningful relationships with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Support individuals in community settings, such as local shops and events.
- Promote independence and inclusion through person-centered approaches.
- Bring positivity and lightheartedness to daily interactions.
Requirements
No prior experience is required—if you genuinely care about people, we’ll provide the training you need. A background in helping others is a plus but not a requirement.
