DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL

Duties and Responsibilities

• Personal Care: Assist with daily hygiene (when necessary), bathing, dressing, and feeding.
• Physical Support: Must be able to lift 50-60 lbs as needed.
• Household Tasks: Prepare meals and cook as required.
• Community Engagement: Transport individuals within the community.
• Medication Administration: (for Community Living settings only)

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.

Must possess a valid driver’s license from TN or KY.

Other Requirements

Candidates must also pass all required pre-employment screenings, including criminal background checks and drug tests.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Experience: Prior experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities is a plus.

Hourly Pay: $15.50

Shifts: Part-time (Weekends) Saturday & Sunday 7a-7p, Saturday & Sunday 8a-4p, Saturday & Sunday 6a-6p, Saturday & Sunday 8p-8a (2)

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) with Apis Services, you will be a key player in empowering individuals to achieve their personal goals and live as independently as possible. Under the guidance of the Home Supervisor/QIDP, you will support the vision and outcomes outlined in each person’s Individual Support Plan (ISP) or Person-Centered Support Plan (PCSP), ensuring their safety and well-being while helping them thrive in their community.
