Direct Support Professional

About the role

Caregivers starting at $17.00/hour! NEW Care, Inc. is seeking Direct Support Professionals for our Residential Care Facility and Adult Family homes. We offer a newer and higher competitive wage of $17.00/hour and have full-time and part-time positions available on all shifts. Some positions also have a shift differential pay depending on hours worked.

Responsibilities

- Help residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and personal hygiene. - Assist with medication management and record keeping. - Provide companionship and support to residents. - Maintain a safe and clean living environment. - Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other staff members.

Requirements

- High school diploma or GED preferred. - Prior work experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment preferred. - Must be in good physical health and able to lift and move residents, and possess physical capability to perform job-related duties. - Must be compassionate and personable. - Strong attention to detail. - Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize assignments. - Ability to handle emotional and stressful situations in a professional manner.
