Direct Support Professional

About the role

Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team at our program in Philadelphia, PA. This is an immediate opening for individuals with a strong desire to make a difference in the lives of those they work with.

Responsibilities

• Create long-term impacts on individuals' lives by encouraging, mentoring, and coaching them.
• Teach individuals daily living activities such as housekeeping and laundry.
• Assist with daily and personal activities to enhance their independence.
• Work under the supervision of the House Manager, reviewing results through living area observation, residents’ responsiveness, inspection of living areas, reports, and periodic meetings.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• A High School diploma/G.E.D. is preferred.
• Experience in a home health aide setting, or school setting working with people who have Intellectual and Developmental disabilities is preferred.
• A strong desire to help others reach their fullest potential.

Pay

Earn up to $16.25/hour.
